Hungary and Slovakia are going to organize the International Winter Footgolf Tour this season with FIFG 50’s tournaments in the middle of Europe. The IWFT starts this Sunday in Sonnengolf Club, on the border of Hungary and Austria.
The International Winter Footgolf Tour (IWFT) was established by the Hungarian federation in 2015 to make competitive tournaments during the winter, outside of the main season.
The IWFT 2019/2020 gives 6 stages for the players (5 counts at the ending), 4 in 2019 and 2 in 2020. The ranking is made in absolute, men, senior, women, junior and team category. The team final will be a two-day event in March.
1st stage – 2019. 10. 27., Sunday, FIFG 50, Sonnengolf Club, Zsira
2nd stage – 2019. 11. 10., Sunday, FIFG 50, Black River Golf Course, Cseklész
3rd stage – 2019. 11. 24., Sunday, Airport Golf Club, Nagysurány
4th stage – 2019. 12. 08., Sunday, FIFG 50, Magyar Golf Club, Kisoroszi
5th stage – 2020. 03. 01., Sunday, FIFG 50, Nimród Footgolf Park, Lakitelek
6th stage – 2020. 03. 15., Sunday, FIFG 50, Balaton Golf Club, Balatonudvari
Team final – 2020. 04. 18-19., Saturday-Sunday
The six stages include 5 FIFG 50 tournaments involving Hungarian and Slovakian courses. Maximum 90 players can register for each tournament, because of the shotgun start. The ranking made after the 6 stages counting the best 5 results. The best 8 teams (countig all the six rounds) qualify for the two day-long team final.
